1959 Rolex Datejust (Ref. 6605)

The Rolex Datejust is one of the most iconic and most beloved Rolex watches ever made, even though the Datejust was launched in 1945 it has remained a timeless classic and is instantly recognizable as an item of refined quality and functional design. The Datejust can be worn just as easily with a suit as it can be with jeans and a tee-shirt. This specific 1959 Datejust Ref. 6605 retains it original dial silver  SWISS only “Pie Pan”   dial which is sought after among collectors. The case is sharp and the lugs are thick, free from any blemishing or scratches. The original fine fluted white Gold bezel is stunning and original to the watch. This piece would make a great start for a new vintage collector, or be a great addition to and expanding collection. CASE & Bracelet

The case is sharp and the lugs are thick, free from any blemishing or scratches. The original fine fluted white Gold bezel is stunning and original to the watch. The watch will come supplied with a bespoke alligator strap.

DIAL & HANDS

The original SWISS only Pie Pan dial is in stunning condition with some minor patina on the outside portion of the dial that does not affect the minute track or plots of the dial. The radium lume plots have taken on a deep dark patina as has the lume within the dauphine. Inner case back shows date code for the 2nd quarter of 1959

Accessories 

The watch was fully serviced and running at COSC spec backed by a 1-year warranty on movement.
